Who is God

The Earth

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Gen 1:1-2 (KJV)

1st we see God as creator of all things in the world. 2nd we see God as a spirit living.

Burning Fire
Consuming Fire

For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

Deut 4:24 (KJV)

Fire is hot and can burn very much. Fire can also refine metal and pottery clay into vessels of use.  Fire can be good as well.

Salvation from death.

The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

Ex 15:2 (KJV)

The strength of God must be very great to create the world and deliver the sinner from death.

God from on high
God Almighty

Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

Deut 7:9 (KJV)

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: 20 That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Deut 30:19-20 (KJV)

This is significant because nothing is like God! He is our life and gives each of us the length of life.  Also notice the instruction to cleave on to God and to choose life. Oh may we choose life by repentance.

Who To Blame, God Or Mankind

As we look upon this world and all the troubles of war. The history of wars and crimes of punishments upon mankind, how is it mankind seeks to blame God?

The fall of mankind.

9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? 12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. 13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

Gen 3:9-13 (KJV)

In this above passage, we see God asking Adam and Eve questions about eating the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge. The man passes blame to the woman and the woman passed the blame to the serpent. God in wisdom punishes all three in the continued chapter.

God commanded mankind 1 thing, to not eat of the tree of knowledge. This was the ushering in of the fallen Angel who’s name is Satan. How does mankind continue to blame God for his own sins?

God cursed the ground and Satan

By the parable of the great supper, Christ shows how worldly men shall be shut out of heaven

Luke 14:15 to35

Luke 14:35 (KJV)

This parable shows the excuse people make for not attending the things of God. Our nature from the fall of mankind has not changed, we seek blame and give excuses. Our hearts must change so we can see clearly and seek God. The relationship between mankind and God was broken in the garden of Eden. This is what God tells Noah.

Heart of stone.

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Gen 6:5-7 (KJV)

God repented for making mankind, Oh how God never wanted to be separated from His creation. This grieved the heart of God. Noah discovered that God would remedy the problem.

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Gen 6:8 (KJV)

The promise is ahead.

Grace is this, God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: 20 That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. 21 But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD.

Ezek 11:19-21 (KJV)

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 3:5-6 (KJV)

Repentance brings forgiveness and leads to salvation.

The heart must change! Accept Gods free gift in Jesus is the only way to repairing our broken relationship with God.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Romans 1:20 (KJV)

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

Romans 2:1 (KJV)

Who are we to blame our creator and not believe His remedy? Clearly God has left man with no excuse and all will be judged accordingly by God. Accept Jesus and  His punishment. Go forward to the mercy seat of Christ Jesus.

Jesus wants the world to be saved from eternal death

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Eph 1:3-7 (KJV

Gods instruction to not oppress servants.

A verse that touches on servants or slavery. Bondsmen and Bonds maids.

Both thy bondsmen, and thy bondmaid’s, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondsmen and bondmaid’s.

Lev 25:44 (KJV)

This verse is from a very longtime ago as many things have changed over centuries. The key to this is also reading the full chapter and remembering many nations at one time or another were enslaved to each other. Many of the customs of that time were quite different from today. With this duty of service was also a responsibility of care for the servant as well. Keep in mind there is a price to pay today for services rendered.

Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance

1 Kings 8:36 (KJV)

Mathew 22

speaks of servants as well some came to the wedding others did not. One came without wedding garment. Which is a representation of our faith or belonging to Christ or not. We must remain clear on the point the Bible is a spiritual book. People of no faith are blinded by Satan, certain points of reference and twist Gods intent of the book of faith.

14 Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates:

Deut 24:14 (KJV)

17 Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow’s raiment to pledge: 18 But thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee thence: therefore I command thee to do this thing. 19 When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands. 20 When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow. 21 When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow. 22 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.

Deut 24:17-22 (KJV)

Wisdom of God hid his gift of grace in Old Testament.

Offensive to atheists and to discredit the Bible.

30 The blueness of a wound cleansed away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.

Prov 20:30 (KJV) In order to understand this verse you need to read the beginning of the chapter. Looking at comparisons made in the proverbs. Many of the things that the prophets said in the spirit of God. They said but did not fully understand as well.

Surely he hath borne our grief’s, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:4-5 (KJV)

The passion of Christ was to go to the cross and bare the punishment alone. To remove all sins from the world for all who believe in Jesus.

4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. 5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loved he chastened, and scourged every son whom he received. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealt with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastened not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partaker’s, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Heb 12:4-8 (KJV)

Each man saved or not is chastised by the sins he carries in his life. Sin hinders a mans life as well as temptation from Satan. Thanks be to God for the sins that are removed so we may operate properly in the spirit of God and teach others. No man is perfect saved or not. The only dividing line is the tender Belief and Faith in Jesus. To completely render His sacrifice as a true remedy for our sins.
